A number of our rainfall stations are experiencing technical issues at the moment. For this reason, some of the data shown below may not be completely accurate. We are actively working to remedy this as quickly as possible.
This table shows recent rainfall totals for each monitoring station. Select a station name to see more detailed information, including rainfall charts. All rainfall amounts are measured in millimetres (mm).

What does the data mean?
- Station name - The name of the rainfall monitoring station
- Catchment - The name of the river catchment where the gauge is located
- 36-hour total - The total rainfall measured at the gauge over the last three days. The values represent the amount of rainfall recorded in the hour before the given time, the colour relates to the map key
- Day total - The total rainfall measured at the gauge over the last month. The graphed values represent the amount of rainfall recorded between 09:00GMT on the date given and 09:00GMT on the following day
- Month total - The rainfall recorded in each of the previous 12 months and the partial total for the current month. The average rainfall recorded in each month for the period of record is also shown as the monthly mean

Rainfall data is gathered by SEPA to help it fulfil its statutory duties. We publish it online because we recognise that this information may also be useful for others, but we cannot guarantee its currency or availability. There may be occasions when data will not have been collected from a station, therefore results will not appear until the next data collection.
